One charger, several devices
A multi-port USB-C charger can replace separate phone, tablet and accessory plugs. Confirm the plug type at the destination and check how power is divided when multiple ports are used.
Carry two cable lengths
A short cable is convenient for a power bank; a longer one reaches awkward hotel sockets. Choose clearly rated cables and avoid carrying duplicates that serve no distinct purpose.
Pack power banks in cabin luggage
Airline rules commonly restrict spare lithium batteries and power banks from checked baggage. Verify the current rules of the airline before travelling.
Prepare for poor connectivity
Download maps, tickets, booking details and essential documents before leaving reliable Wi-Fi. Keep a protected offline copy of critical information without exposing sensitive data on the lock screen.
Use a single organiser pouch
Store adapters, cables, memory cards and small accessories together. A bright or distinctive pouch is easier to notice when checking out of a hotel.
Test the kit before departure
Connect every cable, charge the power bank and confirm that adapters fit. The night before travel is not the ideal moment to discover a damaged connector.
