A 65W label does not guarantee that every connected device receives 65W. Output is shared between ports, and the charging protocol, cable rating and device limit all affect the final speed. USB Power Delivery is especially important for modern phones, tablets and laptops.

  • For phones and earbuds: a compact 20W–30W charger is usually sufficient.

Do not ignore the cable

A charger and cable work as a system. A cable intended only for basic phone charging may not support the power required by a laptop. For higher outputs, look for a clearly rated USB-C cable and replace damaged or excessively loose connectors.

The best charger is not the one with the highest number. It is the one that safely matches the devices you carry every day.

Keep one charger near the sofa, one at the desk and a compact model in your travel bag. Label high-power cables where necessary and avoid permanently stretching cables across walkways.
